Two Morrison High School Basketball players and sisters were named to the Quad Cities All-Western Illinois Basketball Team.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Shelby Veltrop, Morrison
This Senior Forward averaged a double-double of 19 points and 11.3 rebounds per game in 2022-23, and Shelby added 3.8 blocks, 3.2 assists, and 1.4 steals per contest. She was named to the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association’s Class 1A All-State Second Team and the Illinois Associated Press 1A All-State Honorable Mention squad. In addition, Veltrop earned unanimous All-Three Rivers West Division First-Team honors, after helping lead the Fillies to the Regional finals.

Morrison Sophomore: Camryn was named llinois Basketball Coaches Association’s Class 1A All-State Special Mention and was unanimous All-Three Rivers West Division First-Team pick She averaged a double-double of 15 points and 10.4 rebounds per game, and she added 3.1 blocks, 2.3 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.
Shelby Veltrop
Morrison Senior: Shelby compiled a double-double (19 points, 10.4 rebounds per game) for the third straight year. In her four-year Varsity career, she started and played in 94 games. Sheby finishes as the Fillies’ career leader in points (1394), rebounds (944), and blocks (356.)
