The City of Morrison will hold a second meeting to discuss improvements to Main Street, from Orange to Madison, or from Orange to Clinton Streets. The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at the Community Room at Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL.
Topics to be covered:
- why Main Street?
- timing of project
- access to businesses during construction
- estimated cost/funding of the project
- open question and answer period.
One estimate has costs at approximately $2,000,000. This is dependent on what approach is taken, such as doing some, or all, of the sidewalks, and replacing water mains under Main Street. ADA-compliant corners are required if we intend to resurface the street.
Don’t miss your opportunity to get involved, learn more about the proposed project, and make your voices heard.
