Join us for a great cause! On Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Prairie Ridge Golf Course, 903 W. Morris Street, Morrison, IL, there will be a Lyme Disease Benefit to assist a local family: Cory and Nikki Pruis and their daughters, Karrigan and Lillian. All of the family members have recently been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. They will be making frequent trips to their doctor in Wisconsin to be treated, not only for this disease, but its co-infections as well. These visits are not covered by their insurance and will be out-of-pocket, as are some of the medications and supplements.
Twenty-five percent of the proceeds will be put into a Lyme account, that will be used to help local families pay for proper testing and treatment. Left untreated, Lyme Disease infection can spread to the joints, heart, and nervous system.
The event includes a four-person golf scramble, dinner, silent auction, and 50/50 raffle. Kids are welcome at the benefit.
Pre-register until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, at Prairie Ridge Golf course with a team of four; the cost is $50 per person. This includes 18 holes of golf, a half cart, and dinner. Tee time is noon.
The dinner and silent auction begins at 5:00 p.m. Golfers’ meals are free. Non-golfers’ meals are $10 per plate. The meal includes
- choice of hamburger and/or bratwurst
- baked beans
- potato salad or macaroni salad
- buns
- onion, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise
- lemonade or water.
The Silent Auction bids and 50/50 raffle end at 7:30.
