Community Preschool has recently moved its classroom to Northside School, 520 N. Genesee Street, Morrison, IL. Unfortunately, due to changes in State fire code regulations, Morrison United Methodist Church no longer meets Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) requirements. The renovations necessary to stay at the church were strongly considered, but eventually deemed too costly. Thankfully, Morrison Schools graciously offered a vacant classroom at Northside School, which is both safe and convenient for families.
Along with the new facility, Morrison Community Preschool is pleased to announce that Jen Wolf has accepted the Director/Teacher position. Originally from Downers Grove, IL, Jen graduated summa cum laude from Northern Illinois University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She has lived in Morrison for about two years and most recently worked as a classroom aide in the Morrison Blended Preschool Program.
Jen loves to get students involved in the community around them and help them move, explore, and create. In her spare time, she can be found reading, gardening, or hiking with her husband, Collin, and dog, Ava.
Morrison Community Preschool is a non-profit organization offering children ages 3-to-5 a place to play, learn, and grow. This is facilitated through an age-appropriate curriculum guided by highly-qualified staff. Registration is currently underway for the 2016-17 school year, and spaces are filling quickly.
The 3-year-old program will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 8:15 to 10:30 a.m., beginning Wednesday, September 7, 2016.
The 4/5-year-old program will meet Monday through Friday, from 12:30 to 2:45 p.m., beginning Tuesday, September 6.
