The Morrison Halloween Parade and Costume Contest–presented by Morrison Chamber of Commerce and Cottonwood 4-H Club–will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Preregistration is encouraged and free. To preregister, follow the link on www.morrisonchamber.com until Wednesday, October 25, at noon. Walk-up registration will be available on the day of the event.
Parade line up begins at 12:30 p.m., at Community State Bank, 220 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL. Starting at 1:30, the parade will proceed down Main Street to the Post Office. Participants wishing to have their costumes judged need to be lined up before 1:15.
Because of generous donations from local businesses, treat bags will be distributed to the first 250 children that register. Awards sponsored by Farmers National Bank will be handed out to
- Best Group (two or more people)
- Most Original Costume
- Cutest Costume
- Scariest/Funniest Costume.
In the event of rain, it will move to the Morrison Junior High School, 300 Academic Drive.
