Scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2015, Morrison’s Halloween Parade and Costume Contest has grown to become one of the area’s must-attend Halloween events. Presented by Morrison Chamber of Commerce and Cottonwood 4-H Club, the annual parade down Main Street is guaranteed to bring a smile to those who watch the parade of children dressed in their most outrageous and imaginative Halloween costumes.
Parade line up begins at 12:30 p.m. at Community State Bank, 220 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL. The parade will proceed down Main Street to the Post Office, starting at 1:30 p.m. Participants wishing to have their costumes judged need to be lined up before 1:15 p.m.
A free photo booth, courtesy of Walgreen’s, will be available from 12:30 to 3:00, for those wishing to get individual and/or group photos of their costumes.
Because of the generous donations from local businesses, treat bags will be distributed to the first 250 children. Four awards will be given in each age group: 0-3; 4-7; and 8-12 years. Awards are sponsored by Farmers National Bank.
- Best Group (two or more people)
