Morrison, IL, High School Principal David Mills is a steadfast supporter of Special Olympics and raises funds for the worthy organization, in an extreme manner. He has participated in several Polar Plunges to earn financial pledges.
For the ninth time, on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Bally’s Casino in Rock Island, IL, Mills leaped into frigid water.
He took part in a face-first Polar Plunge at MHS on Friday, March 8, after Spring Meet the Mustangs! He had challenged students to help him raise $100. Donations were deposited into the mustang mascot head.
Mills stated, “Donations are accepted online until Friday, March 22. My fundraising has surpassed $3200, and I am getting closer to my goal of $5000. The link for my Polar Plunge fundraising page is below.”
