Odell’s regularly scheduled storytime will begin at 7:00 p.m.  It is a free, drop-in program for families with young children.  The theme for this week will include outer space and Thanksgiving.

Family Literacy Night participants will also receive a coupon for up to $10 in fine forgiveness.

Family Reading Night is an annual Statewide event sponsored by Illinois Secretary of State and State Librarian, Jesse White, and the Illinois Center for the Book.  It Is also a great opportunity to read aloud with someone you love.  One of the most important things parents can do for their children is to read with them.  Reading aloud to children prepares them to become better readers, builds vocabulary, and fosters a life-long love of learning.  Reading teaches as much as it entertains.  It never is too early to start reading to your child, and children are never too old to be read to!

Come enjoy a cozy evening at Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL, and celebrate the magic of reading with your family.
