Mark your calendar with a pink marker on Monday, July 7, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Why? Morrison Community Hospital, 303 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL, has planned a unique way to encourage women who are fighting–or have won the battle over–any kind of cancer.
MCH invites residents of area communities to see pink fire trucks and police cars in the parking lot. Courageous cancer “commandos” are invited to come and sign the pink fire truck. These vehicles are part of the “Pink Heals” Nation-wide tour.
By the time the first responders complete their 10,000 mile journey, names of women from all over the Country will be displayed, so Americans can see how many women are affected by cancer.
Pink Heals t-shirts will be sold to help the organization pay for fuel for their vehicles. That is the only “funding” they accept.
Later that night you are invited to the Firehouse of God Fire Museum, 403 W. 2nd Street, in Rock Falls, IL, at 6:00 p.m. There will be additional activities and pink fireworks at 9:00!
