These young boys entered a pie eating contest at the Jefferson School, Washington, D. C., on August 2, 1923.
Do you love pie, too? This event will appeal to both children and adults. Sullivan’s Foods, Madison Street and E. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, will host a Pie Eating Contest on Saturday, November 23, 2013, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Contestants will be divided into two categories: Youth (ages seven through 13) and Adult (ages 14 and over.)
There will be three heats in each category, with a maximum of ten contestants per heat. Winners of each heat will face off to determine the “Ultimate Pie Eater!” Spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each heat. The Ultimate Pie Eater in each category wins a $25 Sullivan’s Foods gift card and a $100 donation to the local charity of their choice.
An entry form must be signed by a parent for all participants under age 18, giving consent for their child to participate. Likewise, an entry form must be signed by all participants 18 and over, giving consent to participate.
Contest Rules
- No hands can be used.
- The first person to finish his/her pie will stand up and be declared the winner.
- Flavors of pies will be given at random.
- In the event of a tie, whichever one of the tied contestants ends up with the biggest “Pie Smile” will be announced as winner.

- Starting prior the the start signal
- Visible signs of sickness.
