On Wednesday, March 6, 2019, Morrison High School Senior Fillie PeytonTegeler signed a Letter of Intent to play Women’s Basketball at Clarke University in Dubuque, IA, following her graduation. The signing was held during homeroom, at approximately 2:35 p.m. in the cafeteria, at 643 Genesee Avenue, Morrison, IL.
Clarke University is a NAIA Division 1 school playing in the Heart of America Conference. This teams from Baker, Benedictine, Central Methodist, Clarke, Culver-Stockton, Evangel, Graceland, Grand View, MidAmerica Nazarene, Missouri Valley, Mount Mercy, Peru State, and William Penn.

Editor’s note: Kim stated her daughter began playing “basketball in the Rec Program at Southside School, during third of fourth grade. She played in Junior High.” Furthermore, she played for “the Sauk Valley Magic AAU team, after Freshman and Sophomore years.” Father Brad is a former Morrison High School player. A knee injury limited play during her Freshman year. “The doctor only allowed her to play five minutes per half,” said her mother. Peyton sat out half of her Sophomore year.
Peyton Tegeler reached a personal goal to score 1000 career points, before hometown fans, on Thursday, January 10, against Rockridge. She ended that night with 1010. Less than two months later, Tegeler signed to play Women’s Basketball with the Clarke Pride.
