Perry W. Ferguson, 69 died Wednesday May 26, 2021, at his home.
He was born on February 20, 1952, in Sterling, IL, the son of Harry and Lois (Pfeffer) Ferguson and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He married Linda Abell on August 28, 1971, in Sterling. She died October 20, 2018. Perry was employed at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co. for 32 years, retiring as a Strand Caster. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Rock Falls American Legion Post 902.
Survivors include sons, Terry (Mellissa) Ferguson and Shane (Angie) Ferguson, both of Morrison, IL, and Jackie Ferguson of Tampico, IL; daughter, Tracy (Cory) VanHorn of Tampico; sisters, Peggy (Steve) Hadaway of Tampico, Debra Hardy of Burlington, IA, and Cindy DeMarlie of Aledo, IL; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Stees; sister Judy Bennett; grandson Cameron Ward Ferguson VanHorn.
Masks and social distancing are required for a Visitation, to be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Services will follow at 3:00 at Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls, IL.
Military rites will follow.
