Peggy Ottens, age 74, passed away peacefully at UW Health University Hospital on Sunday, November 24, 2019.
She was born on August 15, 1945, to Cecil and Dorothy Knox. Peg graduated from Morrison High School. She was employed at the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department for many years. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Time with her grandchildren was treasured. She will be deeply missed.
Peg is survived by three children, Bart (Cindy) Ottens of Chadwick, IL, Brett Ottens (Amber Howard) of Morrison, IL, and Nikki Arians of Morrison; sisters, Gail (Al) Smith and Kris (Arlyn) Deets, both of Morrison; seven grandchildren, Kelly (Kurt) Francis of Milledgeville, IL, Kari (Jason) Fisher of Chicago, IL, Ali Close and Jimmy Close both of Fishers, IN, Madison Howard of Morrison, and Gavin and Ellie Arians of Morrison. She also adored her great-grandchildren, Kyson and Kamden Francis and Olivia and Grant Fisher; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda Brearton.
