Paul Dykstra, 74, of Exceptional Care in Sterling, IL, died Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Exceptional Care.
Paul was born October 18, 1944, in Morrison, IL, to Roy S. and Helen M. (Rogers) Dykstra. He was employed at Self Help Enterprises in Sterling and later by Kreider Services, Inc. in Dixon, IL. He participated in the Special Olympics where he won many medals. Paul loved all farm animals and was an avid horse lover.
Survivors include two sisters, Bonnie (Donald) Reed of Morrison and Lori (Darryl) Appel of Thomson, IL; twoX brothers, Ronald Dykstra of Morrison and Steven (Judi) Dykstra of Thomson; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law, Nancy Dykstra
Per his parent’s request, Paul’s body has been donated to Medical Science.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison, IL
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A private family interment will take place at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
