Patsy Jean (Miller) Sharp, age 79 of Tampico, IL, died Sunday, July 31, 2022, at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI.
Patsy was born on April 11, 1943, in Rock Falls, IL, the daughter of Gale and Iola (Fortune) Miller. She married Ronald Sharp on August 5, 1961, at the Church of Christ in Tampico. Patsy worked at Dollar General in Sterling, IL, and Rock Falls for many years. She enjoyed flowers at her home. She loved to be with her family and spent her time caring for the ones she loved. Patsy was a member of First Open Bible Church in Rock Falls.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Ronald; sons, Ronald Sharp, Jr. of Tampico and Randy Sharp of Tampico; daughter, Jill (Roy) Calkins of Rock Falls; brother, Gary (Bev) Miller of Morrison, IL; sisters, Donna Johnson (Chuck) of Tampico and Karen Hall of Tampico; seven grandchildren, Brandy (Ronnit) Prajapati, Michelle (Bruce) Peltier, Dakota (Allison) Sharp, Ashley (Chris) Frey, Tyler (Brittany) Blevins, Cody (Rachel) Calkins, and Lexi Sharp (Lucas); 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Linda Gholson and Edith Verdick; brother, Donald “Pete” Miller; brother-in-infancy, Billy Gale Miller.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
Funeral service was held on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at First Open Bible Church in Rock Falls, IL, with Pastor Les Funderberg officiating.
Burial followed at Tampico Memorial Cemetery Tampico, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to First Open Bible Church in Rock Falls, IL.
