Patricia L. “Pat” Pell, 94, of Pleasant View Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Morrison, IL, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Pleasant View.
Pat was born July 31, 1930, in Sterling, IL, to Francis “Verle” and Hazel (LaValley) Conrad. She was educated in the Sterling schools and graduated from Sterling High School. She continued her education in Nursing in Moline, IL, and graduated as a Registered Nurse. On May 3, 1952, she married James Pell in Sterling. He died on September 18, 2015. Pat was first employed as a Nurse, working in Sterling. She then became a homemaker. Pat was a member of Lyons United Methodist Church in Clinton, IA, and a former member of Spring Valley Reformed Church in Fulton. For many years she belonged to the Christian Women’s Group, the Homemakers Club, and also served on the Whiteside County Fair Board. Pat volunteered as a Teacher’s Aide for Fulton Community Grade Schools and served as an Election Judge.
Survivors include her sons, Gregory (Brenda) Pell, David Pell, and Douglas (Debra) Pell, all of Fulton; three grandchildren, Jimmy Pell, Kristen (Zac) Reifinger, and Jessica (Shawn) McClain; eight great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Maci, Oliver, Myla and Palmer Pell, Lucas and Aiden Reifinger, and Arizona McClain; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; son, Kevin Pell.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Lyons Trinity United Methodist Church in Clinton, IA, officiated by Pastor Jeff Bixby.
A memorial Visitation will precede the service, starting at 9:30 a.m.
The Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
Memorials to the Fulton Elementary School Library and the Whiteside County Fair have been established.
