Patricia J. “Pat” Prestley, 83, of Clinton, IA, formerly of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, January 9, 2021, at her daughter’s home.
Pat was born August 25, 1937, in Clinton, to Orsen and Myrel (Tadsen) Howard. She was a 1955 graduate of Clinton High School. Pat married James “Jim” R. Prestley on August 28, 1957, in Clinton. He died November 16, 2011. Pat worked for Morrison True Value until retiring in 1998. She volunteered with the Brownies and Girl Scouts for many years and helped out with the Cub Scouts. Pat enjoyed spending her winters in Arizona with her husband. She cherished spending time and having coffee and lunches with her friends. Pat loved being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include daughter, Janice (Roy) Thompson of Fulton, IL; son, James (Cindy) Prestley of Dubuque, IA; two grandchildren, Matthew (Jenny) Thompson and Lindsay Thompson; three great-grandsons, Tayden, Keller, and Kye Thompson; sisters, Laurie (George) Vulich of Clinton and Sandy Martin of Camanche, IA; sister-in-law, Karen (Bob) Endress of Morrison; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; sister, Janice Howard; brother, Bob Howard.
A public Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL, with Pastor Polly Klimson officiating.
A private family Visitation will be held at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
