Patricia A. Akerman, age 75, of Rock Falls, IL, died Thursday, February 25, 2016, at her home.
Patricia was born October 22, 1940, in Sterling, IL, the daughter of Jess and Mary Ellen (McDonnell) Wagner. She married Paul Akerman on November 23, 1963, in Rock Falls. She was employed at Bergner’s for ten years, retiring in 2004. Patricia was an excellent cook, had a wonderful sense of humor, and loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Paul of Rock Falls; one daughter, Dana (Jim) Hopkins of Mt. Morris, IL; two sons, Scott Akerman of Morrison, IL, and Kurt (Julie) Akerman of Rock Falls; five grandchildren, Reid Akerman, Connor Hopkins, Alec Akerman, Abigail Hopkins, and Luke Akerman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, February 29, 2016, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
Memorial services will be Monday, February 29, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Rich Fassig of Rock Falls Methodist Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
