Pat Weidel was honored with a Morrison Chamber of Commerce “because nice matters” Customer Service Award, on Thursday, August 31, 2017. It was presented at noon at Johnson Oil/Shell Express Lane, 651 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, “not because nice is easy, but because nice matters!” Weidel has worked at Shell Express Lane a dozen years and been Manager the last seven.
Her nominator stated this award was “in recognition for great customer service to all her clients. Pat prides herself on the homemade meals she cooks to serve at the store each day and goes above and beyond. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful to anyone who comes in, making it a wonderful welcome stop for anyone in Morrison.”
With a balloon, service award, kind words to honor her, well wishers, and roses from her Johnson Oil Supervisor Kathy Peugh, Weidel commented, “It made me cry.”
