What began on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, as a human interest story about Kent, Audrey, and Tori Humphrey of Morrison, IL, illlustrates a tribute paid by a creative, loving mother on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10.
Tori Humphrey misses her prom for Bi-County, the special education group. Tori ages out this year and is really confused by quarantine ( we all are).
We surprised her, [with a unique prom experience. Her] father, Kent, dressed as a penguin to be her date, and I dressed as a unicorn. WHY? Because it was our prom, we crowned Tori as Prom Queen. We decorated the basement and danced for several hours.”
Audrey took her advice to heart, to give daughter Tori a memorable prom experience. “With uncertain times ahead, we made the best of the day. You only have one life to live. Life is short; make the good times count.”
