Morrison Varsity Baseball team could not ignite an offense at the Ashford University Field in Clinton, IA, on Monday, April 25, 2016. The Mustangs fell to Erie-Prophetstown 4-0.
The Erie-Prophetstown Panthers connected against Mustang hurler Ryan VanZuiden early and then settled into a pitchers’ dual in the late innings. E-P’s Orman held the Mustangs to four hits in recording the shutout.
Orman recorded the win for E-P. He pitched seven shutout innings. Orman struck out five, walked two, and gave up four hits. Erie-Prophetstown never trailed after scoring two runs in the first, on a two-run single by Chandler.
