Family Chef, 701 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, is the venue for a free pancake breakfast, with coffee or tea, to benefit Robert Fulton of Morrison. The meal is Monday, November 24, 2014, from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. All donations will go toward his medical expenses.
Fulton has not been able to work since September. He was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure on Sunday, October 15, with an “ejection fraction” of 15% (normal is from 50-70%.) Up until mid-August, he had been leading a normal, active life with no symptoms or health problems. He was hospitalized twice in September; all but five days of October; all of November to date.
On Friday, November 14, Fulton will have a heart pump installed to keep his heart functioning while he awaits a heart transplant.
Robert Fulton is a 40-year resident of Morrison and 1992 graduate of Morrison High School. He and wife Christine have three children: Jonathan, 14; Anthony, 12; Danielle, 8. His parents are Steve and Donna Davis. Rob has been active with local Cub Scout Pack #328 as a Webelos Den leader and an Assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop #96.
He has been a Network Administrator/PC Repair Technician for the last 15 years, serving countless people and businesses in the Clinton, IA, and Morrison area. An active musician, he also provided DJ and Karaoke services and sound reinforcement services in the area, for over ten years.
A musical benefit is scheduled the day before the pancake breakfast.
A supporter stated, “I am hoping the people of Morrison will adopt this family and will support the generous angels that are putting on this benefit for Rob. He is our local man, and he needs us all now. Prayers are more than needed. On Sunday, November 23, the Triple Play bowling alley, 1601 9th Avenue, in Fulton, IL, will be doing a Band-a-Thon with nine bands and a silent auction. Please come and help out and be another of Rob’s angels. For more information call Robert’s mother, Donna Davis, at 815-564-8294 or Georgia Isaacson at 815-499-6947.” The event begins at noon.
