As Saturday, September 1, 2016, rapidly approaches, details necessary for a fun Paint the Town are falling into place. Paints are ordered, t-shirt designs (with the “Art Matters” theme) are finalized and ordered, food vendors are assigned, and sponsorships are in place. Anticipation of a fun day of creating memories is escalating.
After 21 years, one major change must be noted. The registration area has changed for Paint the Town. Distribution of each participant’s paints and materials will be located at the old Skatetime Roller Rink, 308 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL. The facility is located next to the American Legion.

Volunteers are needed. An event of this magnitude requires a large number of volunteers. Any volunteers who wish to offer a two-hour shift on Saturday, September 17, should contact John Martin at 815-499-2037.
Paint the Town attracts an audience in excess of 6000 visitors annually, who come to paint and view the art. Community, friends, family, and visitors enjoy this unique outdoor gallery for months. They can stroll the streets until the artistry fades, leaving the concrete canvas ready for next year.
