Paint the Town (PTT) approaches on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Long before this enduring artistic endeavor takes place, the event committee plans a multi-tiered public event for thousands. This year marks the 25th Silver Anniversary of the “color-full” event in Morrison, IL. The navy t-shirt design celebrates this milestone with metallic silver paint, front and back. Downtown buildings are silhouetted against a night sky, with sparkling fireworks overhead.
T-shirts come with paint bottles and supplies. This year the paper bag container has been exchanged for a matching embossed, fabric bag and bandana–included in the $13 price. Additionally, 300 bottles of metallic silver paint will be sold at $5. Share some shininess with friends or family.
While they last, purchase a 2019 t-shirt for $10, between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Decorative shirts from past years are for sale at discounted prices.
The shirt designer is Amanda Cook of Morrison. She is a 1997 graduate of Morrison High School with a degree in Graphic Design from Northern Illinois University. Cook owns and operates Simply Aesthetic Design Photography. She is also a creative director for MaconRaine in Aurora, IL, emphasizing all types of design. Cook maintains the Paint the Town website.
