On Saturday, September 16, the skies cleared from a cloudy, damp morning, and the street dried. Artists surfaced to register to spend the afternoon on Main Street. Registrations totaled 890 in the first hour and evolved to surpass the 1100 mark as the afternoon progressed. The squares (4’ x 4’) and circles became canvases for all ages to create the artwork of their choice. This took place while music from local groups was enjoyed. Enticing foods were offered by many organizations.
The following photos best describe the atmosphere of talent, social interaction, and relaxation that existed up and down the main business street of Morrison, IL. The street remains closed throughout the week-end to allow anyone interested to roam and enjoy the efforts of so many artists as they enjoyed Paint the Town 2023.
