Offense Earns Win for Mustangs
By Jerry Lindsey
The Morrison Mustangs went ot Sterling and took their Saturday frustrations out on the Newman Central Catholic comets by pounding out seventeen hits and topping the C Comets 13-8.
Joey Brackemyer earned the win even thought he allowed seven runs and gave up 7 base on balls. The Mustang offense scored ten runs in the third and made the hill to big for the Comets to completely come back. Newman mustered five runs in the fourth, but Danny Willis relieved Brackemyer and only allowed 2 hits in his 3.2 innings of work on the mound.
Tristan Houzenga had a productive day at the plate collecting four hits in four at bats and Alex Fischbach went three for four with a double to his credit.
