Odell Public Library’s April campaign to improve the Children’s Department is growing day by day. Katie Rider, Children’s Librarian, is pictured with Glenn Peterson and the Big Book display and storage cube, that he recently built and donated to the library. The display easel is used during story time, and shelves on the back side store the books.
Thanks to generous friends and patrons, the library is halfway to its goal of $1000, which will be used to buy children’s books. Supplies and play kitchen items which have already been donated are displayed behind the circulation desk at the library.
It’s not too late to purchase additional supplies and/or items from the library’s four Amazon wish lists. Any type of donation entitles you to add a circle to the Very Hungry Caterpillar that is now slinking across the circulation desk.
Help us transform our caterpillar into a butterfly and our children’s department into an even better place to learn and grow!
