Tonight, Friday, October 30, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., families can stop by the “Haunted” Robert Millikan Pocket Park, next to the Chamber building, 221 W. Main Street, in Morrison, IL. It will be decorated for a Halloween stroll. Visitors can watch the slideshow of contest winners and discover who wins the $25 gift card to a local business.
The park decoration committee included Myra Huizenga, Meridith Layne, Joe Robbins, Halle and LeAnn Schaefer, and Kevin Schlisler.
Three of the seven event sponsors will add to the fun. Community State Bank will serve grilled hot dogs, juice boxes, and cotton candy. Resthave Rehabilitation & Care will dispense treats. Thecity1.com has a Halloween pencil for each child.
“In the face of COVID-19, Morrison, IL, Chamber of Commerce decided to hold our fall event in a different format this year. Never fear, our Annual Halloween Parade is not cancelled permanently. It is simply postponed until we are able to run it safely,” wrote Chamber Director LeAnn Schaefer. “This year we chose to promote a series of Virtual Contests….” Activities included
