November 4 Sheriff’s Office Fatality Reports

11-03-15 at 1:50 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies were assisting Erie Police Department looking for a missing subject named Thomas A. Dale, age 73 of Erie, IL.  While looking for Thomas, Deputies located his vehicle parked at the Erie Boat Ramp and initiated a search for him at that time.  Once daylight broke, the search continued.  Ultimately Thomas was found deceased in the Rock River around 11:47 a.m. by the Erie Fire Protection District.  The matter is still pending investigation, but no foul play is suspected. Whiteside County Deputies were assisted by the Whiteside County Coroner’s Office, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Rock Falls Police Department, Erie Police Department, Erie Fire Department, Erie EMS, Prophetstown/Lyndon Fire District, and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigators.
 
11-03-15 at 2:43 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries on Moline Road near Elston Road between Erie, and Hillsdale, IL.  A vehicle, driven by Tyler B. Yuknis-Devault, age 19 of Erie, was traveling eastbound.  Tyler crossed the center line and into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by Tabetha S. Voeltz, age 31 of Erie.  Upon collision, the occupants were trapped and ultimately succumbed to their injuries.  Both were pronounced deceased on scene by Whiteside County Coroner Joe McDonald.  Further investigation is still pending.  Whiteside County Deputies were assisted on scene by Whiteside County Coroner’s Office, Erie Police Department, Hillsdale Police, Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office, Erie Fire Protection District, Erie EMS, Hillsdale Fire, Hunter’s Towing (Morrison), and Rick’s Towing (Morrison).
