Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, November 4, 2016.
Arrests: On Saturday, November 5, 2016, at approximately 1:25 a.m., Morrison Police responded to 508 E. Wall Street, Morrison, IL, regarding a domestic dispute. As a result of the investigation, Morrison Police arrested Cory J. Mitchell, age 40 of Morrison, charging Mitchell with Domestic Battery. Mitchell was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
On Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on N. Jackson Street (at Valley Drive) on a vehicle driven by Sabrina A. Figueroa, age 18 of Sterling, IL, for a moving violation. As a result of further investigation during the traffic stop, Morrison Police arrested Figueroa pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Rock Island County, charging Figueroa with Failure to Appear–Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Figueroa was also issued a citation for Speeding . A passenger, Kyana J. Fuller, age 19 of Sterling, was also arrested pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Rock Island County, charging Fuller with Failure to Appear–Speeding. Both subjects were transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
