November 29 Sheriff’s Office Report

These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On 11-23-20 at 12:51 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies picked up Troy Stapleton, age 42 of Rock Falls, IL, on a valid Whiteside County Warrant for Larceny.  Troy was picked up at his residence in rural Rock Falls, transported to the Whiteside County Jail, and held in lieu of bond.  Assisting on scene was Rock Falls Police Department.

On 11-23-20 at 1:50 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies assisted Rock Falls Police Department on a traffic stop, near 1st Avenue and 12th Street in Rock Falls, IL.  Upon further investigation, Terry L. Geesey, age 41 of Sterling, IL, was arrested on his valid Whiteside County Warrant for Larceny.  Terry was transported to the Whiteside County Jail and held in lieu of bond.  Assisting on scene was Rock Falls Police Department.

On 11-25-20 at 9:46 p.m., a 16-year-old male from Rock Falls, IL, was stopped in Sterling, IL, for a stop sign violation.  He was cited for No Seat Belt and Failure to Secure Child, before he was released on bond, pending a mandatory court date of December 28, 2020, in Morrison, IL.

On 11-25-20 at 10:15 p.m., Joseph E. Wirth, age 54 of Erie, IL, was cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, following a traffic stop in Lyndon, IL.  Wirth was released with a Promise to Comply.

On 11-25-20 at 11:25 p.m., a 17-year-old male from Dixon, IL, was stopped in Rock Falls, IL, for speeding.  He was cited for Speeding 53/40 MPH and No Valid Driver’s License-Graduated License Curfew Violation.  He was released on bond, pending a mandatory court date on December 28, 2020, in Morrison, IL.

On 11-25-20 at 11:50 p.m., Steven L. Pritchard, age 45 of Deer Grove, IL, was stopped in Rock Falls, IL, for equipment violation(s.)  He was arrested on two Lee County, IL, Warrants:  Failure to Appear-Contempt and Order of Commitment-Rule to Show Cause.  He was released on bond.  Rock Falls Police assisted on scene.

On 11-26-20 at 12:02 a.m.,  John W. Cavazos, age 41 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended, following a traffic stop in Rock Falls.  He was released on bond.  Slim-n-Hank’s assisted on scene.

On 11-27-20 at 3:35 p.m., Julius L. Leaks, age 30 of Westchester, IL, was stopped for speeding on Interstate 88 at mile marker 41.  Leaks was cited for Speeding 26 to 34 MPH Over the Posted Speed Limit (100/70 MPH) and Failure to Secure Infant Child.  He was released on bond, pending a mandatory court date on December 28, 2020, in Morrison, IL.

On 11-27-20 at 4:05 p.m.,  Dariaus T. Johnson, age 27 of Davenport, IA, was stopped for speeding on Interstate 88 at mile marker 36.  Johnson was cited for Speeding 35 MPH Over the Posted Speed Limit (105/70 MPH) and released on bond, pending a mandatory court date on December 28, 2020, in Morrison, IL.  Passenger Carla Eyanda White, age 43 of Rock Island, IL, was wanted on a Rock Island County Warrant for Failure to Pay-Criminal Trespass to Residence.  She was given a Notice to Appear on scene.

On 11-28-20 at 8:25 a.m., Caleb M. Travis, age 23 of Chicago, IL, was stopped for speeding on U. S. Route 30 west of Morrison, IL.  Caleb was arrested for Speeding 35 MPH Over the Posted Speed Limit (101/55 MPH) and released on bond, pending a mandatory court date on December 28, 2020, in Morrison, IL.  Morrison Police and Hunter’s Towing assisted on scene.

On 11-28-20 at 1:13 p.m., Alexandria N. Haessler, age 28 of Milwaukee, WI, was stopped for speeding on Interstate 88 at mile marker 43.  Haessler was cited for Speeding 26 to 34 MPH Over the Posted Speed Limit (100/70 MPH) and released on bond, pending a mandatory court date on December 28, 2020, in Morrison, IL.

On 11-28-20 at 2:33 p.m., Ira L. Tate, age 59 of Chicago, IL, was stopped for speeding on Interstate 88 at mile marker 36.  Tate was arrested for Speeding 26 to 34 MPH Over the Posted Speed Limit (99/70 MPH) and Driving While License Suspended.  He was released on bond, pending a mandatory court date on December 31, 2020, in Morrison, IL.  Illinois State Police and Slim-n-Hank’s Towing assisted on scene.

On 11-29-20 at 2:00 p.m., Jonathan Luz Chavez, age 26 of Carpentersville, IL, was stopped for speeding on Interstate 88 at mile marker 39.  He was arrested for Speeding 92/70 MPH, Driving While License Suspended, a Kane County, IL, Warrant for Failure to Appear Driving Under the Influence, a Kane County Warrant for Failure to Appear-Reckless Driving, and an Elgin, IL, Police Department Warrant for Failure to Appear-Driving Under the Influence.  He was released with a Notice to Appear on the warrants and I-bond for Whiteside County new charges.
