November 24 Sheriff’s Office Report

11-22-14 at 2:46 p.m.  Justin M. Booker, age 22 of Rock Island, IL, was arrested for Unlawful Use of Electronic Device and Operating an Vehicle with Expired Registration (5/2014.)  His Driver’s License was posted as bond.
 
11-22-14 at 2:20 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop for Improper Display of Registration on W. Lincolnway, near the intersection of Emerson Road in rural Sterling, IL.  During the investigation of the stop, Steven M. Armoska, age 20 of Sterling, IL, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended.  Armoska was transported to the Whiteside County Jail where he was processed on the charge and released on a Notice to Appear.  The vehicle was removed from the scene by Williams’ Towing.
 
11-22-14 at 1:07 p.m.  Ivan Arce, age 21 of Streamwood, IL, was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Speeding 92/70 MPH on Interstate 88 at milepost 25.  His Driver’s License was posted as bond.
 
11-22-14 at 6:20 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to the report of a vehicle stuck on the railroad tracks about one mile south of Arch Road.  During the investigation, Kevin J. Ybarra, age 23 of Sterling, IL, was arrested for Trespass to Rail Road Property and two counts of DUI.  He was transported to the Sterling Police Department, where he was processed and released on a Notice to Appear.  The vehicle was removed from the tracks by Slim-N-Hank’s Towing.
 
11-22-14 at 3:00 a.m.  Steven James Barsema, age 21 of Thomson, IL, was arrested following the investigation of a crash on Spring Valley Road east of IL Route 84.  Barsema lost control of his vehicle and entered a ditch.  Damage was caused from striking the embankment.  He left the scene and never reported the incident.  Ultimately, Barsema was charged with Failure to Report Crash to Law Enforcement and Too Fast for Conditions.
 
11-17-14 at 2:54 p.m.  Thomas E. Williams, age 22 of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped for a cracked windshield and arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  His Illinois Driver’s License was posted as bond, and he was released pending a future court date.
 
 
11-17-14 at 12:25 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on 4th Avenue at W. 4th Street in Rock Falls, IL.  During the investigation of the stop, Randy J. Jones, age 27 of Rock Falls, was arrested for No Valid Driver’s License.  Jones was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was processed and released on a Notice to Appear. The vehicle was removed from the roadway by Williams’ Towing.  
 
11-14-14 at 3:05 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Ridge Road just south of Gaulrapp Road in rural Rock Falls, IL, for Inoperable Registration Light.  During the investigation of the stop William E. Dale Jr., age 31 of Rock Falls, was arrested for Possession of Cannabis 30-500 Grams, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Dale was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was held until his bond hearing.   The vehicle was removed from the roadway by RK Towing.
 
 
11-13-14 at 5:50 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of W. LeFevre and McCue Road.  During the investigation of the crash, William T. Searing, age 62 of Emerson, IL, was arrested for Failure to Reduce Speed and DUI.   Searing was transported to CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL, and released on a Notice to Appear.
