The Savanna Historical Society, 406 Main Street, Savanna, IL, hosts their annual event, The Festival of Trees, at the Savanna Museum and Cultural Center, from Friday, November 23, through Sunday, December 9, 2018. Over 50 trees will be on display. By popular demand, our 2018 Festival opens at 4:00 p.m. the day after Thanksgiving, which is also the evening of Savanna’s Christmas Walk.
A family event, the Festival is sure to delight children and will add a warm Christmas spirit to our community.
Festival hours will be noon to 6:00 p.m. on weekends and 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Businesses, organizations, schools, churches, or individuals may participate in the festivities by sponsoring a full-sized tree, a table-top tree, or a “creative tree.”
Sponsors may contribute a Silent Auction item; an experience; gift basket; special entry of at least $25 value.
Admission to the Festival is free, but donations are always accepted. A raffle to raise funds will be available.
All sponsors are invited to the Jingle Mingle on Friday, December 7. The Jingle Mingle is a holiday party. It is the Society’s way of thanking sponsors for their participation in this year’s event.
The Festival will brighten the holidays for our community and its visitors, and it will help raise funds for continued improvements and programming at the Cultural Center.
