Family Chef, 701 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, is the venue for a free pancake breakfast, with coffee or tea, to benefit Robert Fulton of Morrison. The meal is Monday, November 24, 2014, from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. All donations will go toward his medical expenses.
Fulton is a 40-year resident of Morrison and 1992 graduate of Morrison High School. He and wife Christine have three children: Jonathan, 14; Anthony, 12; Danielle, 8. His parents are Steve and Donna Davis. Rob has been active with local Cub Scout Pack #328 as a Webelos Den leader and an Assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop #96.
Up until mid-August, Fulton had been leading a normal, active life with no symptoms or health problems. He was hospitalized twice in September; all but five days of October; all of November to date. He was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure on Sunday, October 15.
On Friday, November 14, Fulton had a heart pump installed to keep his heart functioning while he awaits a heart transplant.
A musical benefit is scheduled the day before the pancake breakfast, on Sunday, November 23, at Triple Play bowling alley, 1601 9th Avenue, in Fulton, IL. This will include a Band-a-Thon with nine bands and a silent auction.
