November 10 Sheriff’s Office Report

11-07-14 at 7:40 p.m.  Matthew Songaila, age 21 of Naperville, IL, was stopped outside Morrison, IL, on U. S. Route 30 for no front registration plate.  Songaila was arrested for Operating with Expired Registration and No Front Registration Plate.  His Driver’s License was posted as bond.

11-07-14 at 10:04 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in rural Rock Falls, IL.  Upon further investigation, Tiffany A. Martinez, age 37 of Rock Falls, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended, Suspended Registration for Mandatory Insurance Violation, Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Expired Registration.  Martinez was released with a Notice to Appear and a future court appearance.  Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.

11-08-14 at 10:58 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to an incident near Rock Falls, IL.  Upon further investigation, Paz M. Gonzalez, age 23 of Sterling, IL, was cited for Driving Too Fast for Conditions, as well as Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  Rock Falls Police Department and Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.

11-08-14 at 12:41 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in urban Rock Falls, IL.  Upon further investigation, Bruce L. Wescott, age 39 of Rock Falls, was arrested for two counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, as well as Inoperable Rear Registration Light.  Wescott was transported to the Rock Falls Police Department and later released with a Notice to Appear and a future court appearance.  Rock Falls Police Department and Slim-N-Hank’s assisted on scene.

11-09-14 at 12:25 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to an incident involving a vehicle crash with injuries northwest of Sterling, IL.  A vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Rock Falls, IL, female was traveling westbound being chased by another vehicle, when her vehicle slid out of control into the north ditch, rolled, and came to rest passenger-side down.  The driver and the four occupants, two 17-year-old Sterling males, a 15-year-old Sterling male, and a 17-year-old Rock Falls female, were all transported to CGH Medical Center for treatment and/observation of their injuries.  The investigation continues and charges are pending.  During the incident, a wrecker service was called to the scene to assist.  Upon further investigation the wrecker driver, Floyd J. Dunn, age 27 of Sterling, was arrested for Violation of License Classification, as well as two counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Dunn was transported to the Sterling Police Department, where he was processed and then released with a Notice to Appear and a future court appearance.

11-09-14 at 6:35 p.m.  Torre L. Danner, age 21 of Milledgeville, IL, was arrested on Emerson Road at Agnew Road for Littering by throwing a lit cigarette from his vehicle onto the roadway.  A Notice to Appear was issued.
