Nova J. Parker, 75, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton, IL, formerly of Albany, IL, died Thursday, February 19, 2015, at the nursing home.
Nova was born October 12, 1939, in Flora, IL, to Albert R. and Lucille (Rhoades) Crumbacher. She was educated in the Flora grade schools and graduated from Flora High School in 1957. She married Harold C. “Shorty” Parker on December 16, 1977, in Morrison. He died July 30, 2003. Nova was a cook and waitress at Julie’s Café in Albany. She was a cat lover and liked to grow red geraniums.
Survivors include a step-son, Harold D. (Cindy) Parker of Colorado; two sisters, Ruth L. (Larry R.) Bush and Dee (Jeff) DeGroot, both of Morrison, IL; one brother, Bill (Patti) Crumbacher of Flora; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, “Shorty;” one sister, Mary Nobles; one brother, Albert Ross Crumbacher, Jr.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home
OFFICIATING: Rev. Rich Davis, Pastor of Emmanuel Reformed Church, Morrison, IL
There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded.
INTERMENT: Garden Plain Cemetery, Fulton, IL
