Notice: Sidewalk Snow Removal

This year the City of Morrison, IL, has been fielding an increased number of complaints regarding un-shoveled sidewalks.  To avoid fines of up to $50, property owners are required to keep their sidewalks unobstructed by snow.   This applies regardless if the residence is occupied.  On Wednesday, January 14, 2015, the Police Department began issuing Violation Notices [warnings] where sidewalk clearing is required.  Owners have 24 hours to comply before being fined.  Thank you.  City Administrator Barry Dykhuizen
