Description
The classroom aide is under the direct supervision of the licensed staff member they are assigned based on classroom, program, or student needs. Classroom aides are responsible for providing instructional, safety, and daily living supports for students under the direction of the licensed supervisor.
Requirements
Paraprofessional Certificate or eligibility to obtain certificate is required at the time of application. Paraprofessional Certificates must be obtained by the employee starting date. Certificate requirements:
- be at least 19 years of age
- show proof of Associate’s degree or higher or 60 semester hours of coursework.
