As the school year nears completion, scores of Morrison High School students soon will be honored for their varied achievements. Honors Night will be held in the auditorium on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. At that event, however, a new–adult–award will be introduced by the Morrison Schools Foundation. For the first time a “Distinguished Alumni Award” will be presented.

MSF member Joy Tegeler stated on Tuesday, March 22, that, “You can nominate people online [using] the easy application. Submit nominations at any time, during the ‘rolling application’ period. We have formed a Selection Committee,” which will choose one or more persons to honor. “Those honored will receive a plaque to keep. A similar one, with the person’s photograph and perhaps a bio, will be displayed in the [High S]chool.”
The Foundation website states, The Morrison High School Distinguished Alumni Awards are a tribute to our graduates who have shown exceptional personal, community, and/or professional achievements. We want to honor our outstanding alumni and believe the success of these graduates will serve as an inspiration to current and future Morrison students.
