Morrison Chamber of Commerce now is accepting nominations for the Citizen of the Year Award. Nominees and the winner will be honored at the Morrison Chamber of Commerce Virtual Annual Meeting, scheduled for Thursday, February 24, 2022.
The “Citizen of the Year” award will recognize an individual who:
• continually volunteers his or her time, dedication and talents to the town and its citizens, to make Morrison a great place to live, work, play, and learn.
• has made a positive difference to the lives of fellow citizens.
• is dedicated to Morrison and concerned for others. They may serve on service, school, church, or community committees.
• has shown a willingness to work with other Morrison residents; who is enthusiastic about the town and its citizens; who works continually towards the betterment of the community.
• displays honesty and integrity.
In choosing the recipient, regard will be given to the nominee’s achievements in the year immediately prior to receiving the award [ie., during 2021], as well as their past achievements and ongoing contributions to the community. The individual does not have to be a member of Morrison Chamber of Commerce or the business community. A nominee need only be nominated once to be considered. The number of nominations received per nominee will bear no weight in their selection.
