Nila G. Harris, 80, of Sterling, IL, died Wednesday November 22, 2023, at Rock Falls Rehabilitation in Rock Falls, IL.
Nila was born January 19, 1943, the daughter of William and Louise (Davidson) Harris. She married Robert Harris on November 17, 1960, in Abingdon, VA. Robert preceded Nila in death on December 25, 2020. Nila volunteered at the Caring Center in Sterling for many years.
Survivors include her daughter, Robin (Jeff) Henard of Morrison, IL; son, Wayne (Melanie) Harris of Sterling; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces; special granddaughter, Brianna Tarbill, who took care of her for several years.
Nila is preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; brother Bill; daughter Vicky Bamber.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be a Visitation from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Monday November 27, 2023, at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation.
A memorial has been established to the Caring Center in Sterling, IL.
