New Year, New Opportunity January 11

All are invited and encouraged to attend “LGBTQ 101,” an educational workshop to help us better understand those in our community who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning–LGBTQ+.  This free, community opportunity will be led by Chase Norris, M.S. Ed, LPC, NCC, Executive Director of Clock, Inc.  He will cover a variety of topics, with a special focus on transgender youth.

Clock, Inc. is a non-profit organization based in Rock Island, IL.  It advocates for the well-being of local LGBTQ individuals, by offering judgment-free spaces and support groups and by sharing educational resources in their communities.

PFLAG of the Sauk Valley (Sterling, IL,) will also be available to answer questions and provide materials.

LGBTQ 101 offerings are Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL.  Registration is requested, and masks are required at the venue.  Please register for the appropriate session at https://forms.gle/tRaHvZPUNp8pdAXJ9.
•  Session 1 is for Educators and Local Agencies, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
•  Session 2 is open to the Community including youths, from 7:00 to 8:00.

This event is made possible through the donations of many area community members.  Sincere thanks to First Presbyterian Church of Morrison for hosting this program.
