New Signage for City Parks

City of Morrison beautification projects come in a variety of sizes and price points, but each gives testimony to a community that cares.  This trio of City employees replaced four park signs.  Left-to-right are Jim Dubois, Dave Peugh, and Josh Vos, finalizing the installation on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.  They also installed the French Creek Park sign that day.

City Administrator Barry Dykhuizen explained the former signs “were deteriorating so badly.  They were falling apart and had holes in them.  The [new] signs were up quickly and give a polished look.  The signs were $150 each,” he said, and were locally sourced, “within Whiteside County.”

The same man constructed the new “Home of the Mustangs and Fillies” signs purchased by the Athletic Boosters.  Those are at each highway entrance into Morrison.

Also on Tuesday, November 8, Vos painted the wood framework at Kelly Park.  The sign there and at Kiwanis Park were installed Wednesday, November 9.
