New Message Series at Crossroads Community Church

Posted by

On Sunday, December 7, 2014, Crossroads Community Church began a new series entitled “Jesus, He’s the Real Thing.”  When you hear the name Jesus Christ, what image comes to mind when you think of that holy name?  This time of year, you might think of a baby in a manger or an image of an angelic-looking, bearded fellow of Renaissance art.  Is He a super spiritual storyteller?  Is there more to this man than even the devout realize?  Join us this Christmas as we clear away the religious fog that may be clouding our perceptions of Jesus and take a closer look at who He really is.  Together we’ll discover the playful, disruptive, extravagant and genuine personality of Jesus.  We invite you to come and see Jesus–the real Jesus–a perfect love who defies conventional belief.  He’s the real thing!

JésusEditor’s note:  This book page shows an early portrayal of Jesus Christ.  The rare illumination on parchment, decorated with color and gold, dates to between 781 and 783.  It is in the National Library of France.

The final message of this series will be at our Christmas Eve Service at 5:00 p.m.  We will gather for a candlelight service and time of reflection on what God has done in our lives.  Christmas is a time to gather as family, so there will be no childcare during this special service.

Crossroads Community Church is a non-denominational church.  We welcome new visitors and encourage people to join us for our Weekend Worship experience on Sundays at 10:00 a.m., at Morrison Institute of Technology Auditorium, 701 Portland Avenue, Morrison, IL.  Kidzlink Children’s Ministry (for ages birth through 5th grade) is held during Sunday service.
