Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois officially opened its new Rock Falls Service Center, 229 First Avenue, Rock Falls, IL, on Friday, February 7, 2014, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., during a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Sauk Valley Chamber of Commerce.
On Saturday, February 8, the new center opened to the public from noon to 4:00 p.m. for a Grand Opening Celebration. Free family activities included a jewelry-making craft for kids, information on Girl Scout camp and upcoming local programs, and the opportunity for girls to register for Girl Scouts. A Girl Scout troop also hosted a booth for customers to support local girls through purchasing Girl Scout Cookies.
The Rock Falls Service Center is now open during the week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information, contact the Rock Falls Service Center at 815-997-5100.
