September is the month of cooler air, football games, and back-to-school. So, the church offers a “back-to-events.” Morrison United Methodist Church welcomed a new Pastor in July 2022, Sun-ah Kang, a young, warm, energetic, and talented woman to our pulpit. She has broken new barriers in our Church, by being the first woman, full-time Pastor and our youngest! If you haven’t yet been to church or met her, you are missing out. Come and worship with us.

Rally Day, Sunday, September 11, is another beginning day for Methodists. It marks the beginning of the Church calendar and is a welcoming day to children and adults to Sunday School programs. Pastor Sun-ah will bless backpacks as kids begin their school year.
September 11 is also Grandparents Day, a legal holiday signed by President Jimmy Carter in 1978. Grandparents and their grandchildren share a special bond of love and support that is ever-lasting. There will be tributes by grandchildren to the grandparents and a special, meaningful video to mark the day. Grandchildren are encouraged to bring their grandparents to church.
Sunday, September 18, will be the start of Sunday School for all children ages Pre-K through sixth grade. Sunday School is from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., and coincides with worship hour. The lessons learned in Sunday School leave an imprint on both hearts and minds.
All are welcome to Morrison United Methodist Church.
