Long before this photograph was captured prior to 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, September 15, 2022, Morrison, IL, resident Jessica Ryan began painting. She is working on a window at 218 W. Main Street, former location of thecity1.com.
Prior to Paint the Town, “I used to paint that [left] window for years,” she remembered. “Your sign was in the middle of the window; I had to paint around it.” She never covered thecity1.com electrified logo. “Where did you go?” Ryan asked the Editor.
Her grandkids are coming to Paint the Town, on Saturday, September 17, she will help them paint on the street. “So, I have to get this done.” There is a lot of flowing mane to add to the striking lion.
Carol Wolf, who is in charge of finding window painters, informed Ryan of this year’s theme: “Neon.”
