National Honor Society Chapter Inducts 14 Members

Morrison High School Driver Education and American Government teacher Brian Bartoz submitted the press release and photos.

Fourteen of Morrison High School’s Juniors were inducted into the National Honor Society on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, during an evening ceremony in the MHS auditorium, 643 Genesee Avenue, Morrison, IL.  Students were selected based on academic credentials (GPA of 3.5 or higher); their involvement and leadership in school and community activities; their solid character.

During the ceremony, Morrison High School Principal Kay Harwood welcomed guests and introduced the current members of NHS.

Seniors Molly Neumann, Sarah Screnock, Meghan Sterenberg, and Cassie Osborn offered impressive vocal and instrumental performances.  In addition, art by Katelyn Vos was displayed around the auditorium for guests to view before and after the ceremony.

NHS members Steven Kramoski, Megan Muur, Jacob Brown, Meghan Sterenberg, and Michelle Edwards spoke about the themes of service, leadership, character, and scholarship.  Hanna Brown, Sarah Screnock, Peyton Tegeler, Katelyn Vos, Cassandra Osborn, and Molly Neumann oversaw the induction of new members.  Jacob Brown thanked parents, siblings, and community members for attending, and he invited all guests to a reception in the MHS cafeteria featuring cake and punch.

Congratulations to all of the new members of NHS.

Seniors continuing their membership in NHS are Hanna Brown, Jacob Brown, Michelle Edwards, Allison Hogue, Steven Kramoski, Megan Muur, Molly Neumann, Cassandra Osborn, Mackenzie Ryder, Sarah Screnock, Meghan Sterenberg, Peyton Tegeler, and Katelyn Vos.
