Nathan R. Schroeder, 39, of Albany, IL, died Thursday, November 1, 2018, at his residence in Albany.
Nathan was born February 19, 1979, in Clinton, IA, the son of Robert D. and Deborah L. (Bitler) Schroeder. He married Melissa Foster on September 10, 2005, in Galena, IL, and then married Nichole F. White on July 1, 2015, in Clinton; she survives. He was employed by the Village of Albany as the Public Works Director for 17 years. Nathan was a member of the Second Reformed Church, Albany. He also enjoyed biking, golfing, fishing with his son Eli, woodworking, spending time with his kids, family game night, and being the family D.J.
Survivors include his wife, Nichole Schroeder, Albany; his son, Elijah Michael Schroeder, Albany; daughters, Daekota and Olivia Knott, both of Albany; his parents, Robert and Deborah Schroeder, Albany; his sister, Amanda S. (Korey) Caves, Morrison, IL; several nieces and nephews; numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 5, 2018, at the McDonald Funeral Home, Fulton, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at the Second Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, with the Reverend Scott Stephen officiating.
Inurnment will be at the Lusk Memorial Cemetery, Albany, IL.
A memorial for his son’s education has been established.
