Nancy L. Dykstra, 69, of Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA.
Nancy was born December 11, 1944, in Fulton, to Robert and Luella (Buikema) Deelsnyder. She was a 1962 graduate of Fulton High School. Nancy married Ronald D. Dykstra on October 25, 1963, in Fulton. After high school, Nancy worked at the grocery store in Fulton. After marriage, she farmed with her husband, Ron, for 20 years. She also cooked at the Albany Café with her sister. Nancy was a a homemaker as she raised her children and enjoyed helping on the farm. She attended First Reformed Church in Fulton. Nancy enjoyed doing ceramics in her free time. She was known for her cooking and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Ron; two daughters, Jennifer (Steve) Farrell of Ohio, IL, and Carol (Kevin) Dornbush of Dubuque, IA; two sons, Dan (Tina) Dykstra of Morrison, IL, and Mike (Michelle) Dykstra of Walnut, IL; ten grandchildren, Heather, Brittany, and Ryan Dykstra; Nick, Stacy, Dylan, and Karlee Dykstra; Eric and Stephenny Farrell; Elizabeth Dornbush; three great-grandchildren, Aleeya Dykstra; Chayse and Cayle Ioder; two sisters, Roberta Bush of Morrison and Wanda Huff of Fulton; three brothers, Irwin (Sandy) Deelsnyder of Pekin, IL; Laverne Deelsnyder of Hampton, IL; Warren (Earline) Deelsnyder of Fulton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Kevin Farrell.
